ABOUT THE APPRAISER

Julie Nicolai, owner and CAGA certified personal property appraiser, has been in business for over twenty years. She has a BA and MA in Art History from Washington University in St. Louis and is an Accredited Jewelry Professional (Gemological Institute of America). She has written journal articles for the Missouri Historical Society, New York Silver Society and Morse-Libby (Victoria) Mansion. Her book, Enslavement & the Underground Railroad in MO & IL, is available for purchase on the Amazon and Barnes & Noble web sites. She is a member of many historical societies and antiques groups and teaches classes on antique topics.

Fine art appraisals for insurance, probate/estate, tax and bankruptcy purposes for individual, corporate and law firm clients.

Consulting

Analysis of your artwork from a market perspective, using comparables, current market trends, etc. 

Authentification

Identify whether or not your artwork is a. one-of-a-kind original, limited edition print, original engraving , pixelated print, etc.

Informal Valuations

A less detailed informal fine art valuation for client purposes only and not to be presented to any other entity.

Recommendations

Recommendations on the best ways to sell or donate your artwork.

Photography

Cell phone photography of your artwork is included with a formal appraisal
