About Laura Singer
My creative process involves taking a pre-existing image, breaking it down, and then building it up until it becomes something completely new and different. I work intuitively, combining images from multiple sources and letting my subconscious lead me to new places. I am inspired by elements of nature, both microscopic and macroscopic. I start with one of my photos or mixed-media pieces and this becomes a base for further exploration. I combine images from multiple sources and let my subconscious lead me to new places. I utilize vibrant color and pixel paint strokes to bring texture and depth to an image.
